How do automated reminders work?

For each checklist you set a deadline. Sidemate sends the client up to 4 automated reminders: 7, 3 and 1 day before the deadline, and the day itself. Each email contains the exact list of documents still missing at that moment, not a generic nudge.

If you want, you can always send a manual reminder on-demand from the dashboard.

Do my clients need to create an account?

No, really. The client receives an email with a unique invitation link: they click it, enter their company name, and they are in. No password to choose, no app to install, nothing to remember. Full onboarding takes less than a minute.

For subsequent logins, the client receives a 6-digit access code via email — no more password resets.

Are the documents secure?

Files are stored on AWS S3, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is IAM-only via the Sidemate backend: no public URL, no exposed bucket. Data is hosted in the EU (Milan) region. GDPR compliant.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. The Free plan does not require a credit card and is permanent. It lets you manage up to 10 active clients with all the basic features, including email reminders.

Can I change plan at any time?

Yes, from Settings → Plans. Upgrades activate immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades activate at the next billing cycle. You can cancel autonomously, no need to write to anyone.

How do payments work?

Payments are handled by Stripe — credit card or SEPA. Invoice issued automatically at the end of the cycle. No payment data passes through us.
